Representatives of PymeMad, including national president Hernán Muñoz Bernal, PymeMad Biobío-Ñuble president Víctor Sandoval Sanzana, and PymeMad Biobío director José Basauri, held an operational meeting with CMPC executives at the Trasefor sawmill facilities in Los Ángeles, Biobío region.

The meeting, which also included representatives from the Chilean Wood Corporation (CORMA), addressed two central themes for small and medium-sized wood enterprises: productive linkages and the services CMPC offers to suppliers, presented by Manuel Muena, and the supply of logs and standing forest, presented by Andrés Decap, both company executives.

The day included an open conversation space on matters of common interest and closed with a tour of the Trasefor plant. PymeMad thanks the company for opening its doors and hosting this meeting.

For PymeMad, this instance represents concrete progress in its relationship with CMPC, which in recent times has shown a willingness to dialogue directly with SMEs in the sector, in a relationship aimed at strengthening the wood ecosystem of the southern macrozone.

The direct presentation of supply mechanisms and opportunities for integration into CMPC's value chain provides key information for SMEs to plan their production and evaluate new business lines.

The visit reaffirms PymeMad's commitment to coordination between large forestry companies and wood SMEs, convinced that productive linkages are a real path for economic development and local rootedness in the southern regions.
