Lorena Vargas, national vice president of PymeMad, took part in a working meeting aimed at analyzing the current state of the regional timber industry and its impact on the productive value chain linked to the construction sector, an instance convened by the Chilean Chamber of Construction (CChC) Ñuble.

The purpose of the meeting was to promote the development of wood construction in the Ñuble region, seeking to connect the productive world of wood as a raw material with the actors in the construction sector that use it. During the session, progress achieved in the region was reviewed, and work related to industrialized construction was addressed.

The meeting included participation from representatives of the Chilean Wood Corporation (CORMA), the Regional Ministry of Economy, and the regional strategic program linked to timber development, also incorporating insights from experiences in the Biobío region regarding industrialized wood construction.

One of the central focuses of the meeting was strengthening small and medium-sized timber industries, recognizing the strategic role that SMEs in the sector play in the value chain and the need to create conditions that foster their development within the regional productive ecosystem.

Vargas's participation in this instance reaffirms PymeMad's commitment to strengthening wood construction and to the articulation between the timber industry and the construction sector, based on collaboration and the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in the field.
