Víctor Sandoval Sanzana, president of PymeMad Biobío-Ñuble, participated in the public-private meeting convened by CPC Biobío, where the ten main guilds of the region presented a unified economic reactivation agenda to parliamentarians and authorities.

Within the framework of the meeting organized by the Corporation of Producers of Biobío (CPC Biobío), which brought together ten regional guilds before senators and deputies, PymeMad Biobío-Ñuble presented the critical situation of the forestry-wood sector: the plantation deficit, the deterioration of operating conditions for wood companies, and the need for concrete plans to sustain the sector's continuity in rural territories.

Sandoval valued the instance as a relevant opportunity for the sector: "It was a tremendous opportunity to present the regional situation of companies and guilds, and particularly the forestry sector. We managed to expose our most important points: the plantation deficit, the current situation of wood companies, and that we need to work together to re-boost the sector."

The leader warned about the urgency of acting before the damage becomes irreversible: "Otherwise, it will be a sector that in the medium term will disappear. We need to develop plans that allow the maintenance of wood companies located in the territories, in rural areas, which generate employment, and which are currently at risk."

Sandoval's participation in this instance reaffirms PymeMad's commitment to defending small and medium-sized wood companies that generate direct employment in the rural areas of Biobío and Ñuble, sustaining productive activity in territories where the closure of sawmills threatens to dismantle the local economic fabric.
