Víctor Sandoval, regional president of PymeMad Biobío-Ñuble, represented the trade association in the first session of the Steering Committee of the program promoted by Corfo, which brought together more than 60 representatives from the public, private, academic, and productive sectors.

The session, held within the framework of the third year of implementation of the Regional Strategic Program (PER) Biobío Madera, was attended by the regional director of Corfo Biobío, James Argo, and the seremi of Housing and Urbanism, Anselmo Villagra. Both authorities highlighted the importance of strengthening a collaborative ecosystem that drives innovation, productivity, and sustainability in the sector.

One of the central milestones of the meeting was a workshop to validate the update of the program's Roadmap, an instrument that will guide the work in the coming years. The process made it possible to identify and prioritize challenges, opportunities, and initiatives to consolidate the development of modern sustainable construction methods in wood in the Biobío region.

For PymeMad, participating in this instance allows the perspective of small and medium-sized wood companies to be present in the strategic conversations that will mark the future of industrialized wood construction, a process that seeks to consolidate Biobío as a leading territory in this area.

Sandoval's participation in this instance reaffirms PymeMad's commitment to strengthening territorial capacities and integrating SMEs into the sustainable construction of Biobío.
