Lorena Vargas Reyes, national vice president of PymeMad and general manager of Guivar Transforma, represented the guild at the event promoted by the Territorial Integrated Program (PTI) for Industrialized Housing Construction in Ñuble, held at the Industrialized Wood Center (CIM) Leonera, in Trehuaco.

The fair, the first of its kind in the region and developed under the Open Factory concept, allowed companies, professionals, and students to tour a working industrialized construction plant and learn firsthand about Modern Methods of Construction (MMC). Over two days, the program included exhibitions of technologies applied to real projects, financing alternatives, technical talks, and networking spaces among value chain stakeholders. The initiative is supported by Corfo and the Regional Government of Ñuble.

PymeMad was present with its own booth, where it promoted the guild's work and invited wood SMEs from Ñuble to join the association.

Vargas highlighted the value of holding the activity in the Itata Valley. "We are very happy as PymeMad and as Guivar Transforma that today we are holding this fair here in the Itata Valley, in Trehuaco, because we believe it is the center of the forestry sector in Ñuble," noted the guild leader.

The vice president also emphasized the role of wood in this construction model. "We are not only seeking fast, efficient, innovative construction, but we also hope it will be sustainable, and wood is the resource that can accompany industrialized construction in a more sustainable process," she stated, adding: "We hope this is the first of many fairs and the starting point to continue advancing in new modern and sustainable construction methods."

PymeMad's participation in this event reaffirms the guild's commitment to sustainable wood construction and to strengthening wood SMEs as relevant players in the productive modernization of the Ñuble region.
