The trade association was invited to the ceremony in its capacity as a collaborator of the Center for Industry 4.0 (C4i), the only initiative from the Biobío region among the 15 distinguished nationwide. Víctor Sandoval Sanzana, president of PymeMad Biobío-Ñuble, accompanied C4i at the ceremony held at Televisión Nacional de Chile.

PymeMad accompanied C4i at the first ColaboraX 2025 Ceremony, an event that distinguishes initiatives notable for their collaborative aspect among business, academia, government, and civil society. The event took place yesterday, Thursday, April 23, at Televisión Nacional de Chile in Providencia, and was co-organized by TVN, Gulliver, 3xi, and Innovación El Mercurio.

C4i was the only initiative from the Biobío region recognized in this first edition. It is a center of the University of Concepción aimed at driving digital transformation and the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies in regional industry, articulating the capabilities of academia, the productive sector, and the State around the industrial development of Biobío. PymeMad was invited in recognition of the guild's active work in the programs promoted by the center.

The ColaboraX initiative, led by Carolina Loehnert, received more than 300 applications nationwide, and the 15 selected alliances impact over 1,200,000 people across the country. The ceremony brought together ministers, governors, and representatives from academia.

"It was a very high-level activity at the national level. That C4i was recognized shows that the way of working with local industry and guilds, including PymeMad, is one of the things being done well in the region," said the regional president of PymeMad Biobío-Ñuble.

Sandoval's participation reaffirms PymeMad's commitment to the articulation between wood SMEs, academia, and the State to strengthen the Chilean forestry production chain.
