Lorena Vargas, vice president of PymeMad Biobío-Ñuble and general manager of Guivar Transforma, participated in the first stage of the process to strengthen the regional entrepreneurship ecosystem, developed within the framework of the Red Capital Ñuble project, executed by Eureka and funded by Corfo through the Viraliza program.
The Collaborative Regional Diagnostic activities, held in San Carlos and Chillán, brought together more than 90 representatives from over 50 regional organizations, belonging to the five helices of the ecosystem: Government, Academia, Industry, Entrepreneurs, and Investors. The meeting aimed to align visions, identify priorities, and collaboratively project the development of the territory, using international methodologies such as MIT REAP, Open Ecosystems, and GEIAL.
"The forestry-timber sector has the potential to activate the private helix of this ecosystem, contributing real industry challenges, piloting spaces, and productive linkages so that entrepreneurs from Ñuble can scale with a territorial sense," stated Vargas. The guild leader added that "this is also a call to the companies in our sector: investing is not just money, it's time and participation. If we want to be considered relevant actors in innovation, we must be present in these spaces."
The process will continue with the Work Plan Design Activities, where a Strategic Committee will be formed comprising representative leaders from the different helices of the regional ecosystem.
Vargas's participation in this instance reflects PymeMad's commitment to positioning the forestry-timber sector as an enabler of innovation and sustainable development, and invites more companies in the industry to actively join these collaborative building spaces.
