- Lorena Vargas, Manager of Guivar Transforma and Vice President of PymeMad Biobío-Ñuble, joined the evaluation panel of the sustainable innovation program organized by Corma and Rediversos at INACAP, where entrepreneurs from the forestry sector of Ñuble presented projects focused on sustainability and gender perspective.
Lorena Vargas, Manager of Guivar Transforma and Vice President of PymeMadBiobío-Ñuble, participated as a judge in the Demo Day of the "Revolución Maderera" program, an initiative that seeks to promote innovation and sustainability in the wood industry with a gender perspective.
The event, held at the Chillán campus of INACAP, marked an important milestone in the training program organized by Corma and Rediversos. During the day, entrepreneurs who successfully completed the training process presented their innovative projects to a panel of judges composed of representatives from leading companies in the sector such as Arauco and TRIPAN, as well as innovation associations from the region and members of the forestry board.
In her dual role as representative of PymeMad and Manager of Guivar Transforma, Vargas evaluated three-minute presentations in which entrepreneurs showcased diverse initiatives connected to the wood sector. Among the projects, proposals for sector training, forest-related tourism, nature-connected coaching, innovative furniture products, and other developments aimed at strengthening the forestry production chain stood out.
"Revolución Maderera is a program that promotes practices and technologies that minimize environmental and social impact, comprehensively supporting entrepreneurs with high growth potential," highlighted the organization in the event announcement.
The program is part of a broader forestry industry board that includes sector companies and associations, aiming to connect participants with the main activities of the regional wood ecosystem. Lorena Vargas' participation in this instance reaffirms PymeMad's commitment to strengthening innovation and integrating new actors into the production chain of the southern macrozone's wood sector.
