1. CMPC fulfills its commitment from the working group with PymeMad by initiating a process that will distribute wood across three zones from Maule to La Araucanía. This initiative positions CMPC as a benchmark in productive integration, demonstrating that with willingness, commitment, and a long-term vision, it is possible to build a more inclusive and sustainable forestry sector.

The permanent working group between PymeMad, the small and medium-sized forestry enterprises of Corma, and CMPC, which has been operating for over 4 years, has realized one of its most significant commitments: an exclusive tender for 200,000 cubic meters per year of sawlogs intended solely for small and medium-sized enterprises in the forestry sector. The call, published by CMPC, marks a milestone in productive integration and sets an example for the industry to follow.

The volume will be distributed across three tender zones, from the Maule region to the La Araucanía region (Malleco province), with scheduled delivery within a 12-month period. The fundamental requirement is to certify the status of a Small and Medium-sized Enterprise, reaffirming the commitment to the sector.

Michel Esquerré, national president of PymeMad, emphasized the distinctive nature of this initiative: "CMPC is setting the path in productive integration. This exclusive tender demonstrates coherence between discourse and action, recognizing SMEs as a fundamental part of the forestry sector's sustainability."

On the other hand, Víctor Sandoval, president of PymeMad BioBío Ñuble, highlighted: "This tender is the result of systematic work spanning more than four years. CMPC has shown that when there is genuine willingness and a long-term vision, strategic alliances yield concrete results for SMEs."

The most recent session of the working group included trade representatives from PymeMad of Maule, BioBío Ñuble, La Araucanía, and Los Ríos, led by national president Michel Esquerré and regional president Víctor Sandoval, representatives from Corma, and senior executives from CMPC's forestry division.

This commitment was ratified last July when CMPC's board chairman, Bernardo Larraín Matte, received the PymeMad board in a historic meeting in Los Ángeles, demonstrating top management's support for the working group's efforts.
